September 28, 2019 - The CNY Wildfowlers annual youth pheasant hunt was held at Jack Waldron's home in Phoenix, NY.
 
Sunday, August 18, 2019 - CNY Wildfowlers Annual Clay Target Shoot and BBQ was held at Baldwinsville Rod & Gun Club (five-stand sporting clays); shooting started at 10:00 a.m., and the BBQ started at 12:30 p.m. at Jack Waldron's home (2501 Lamson Road, Phoenix, NY).

April 24, 2019 CNY Wildfowlers Annual Banquet was held at Traditions at the Links, 5900 North Burdick Street, East Syracuse, NY   13057 (6:00 p.m. cocktails, 7:00 p.m. dinner)

The Wildfowlers had a booth on January 25-January 27, 2019, at New York Sportsman's Expo at New York State Fairgrounds Expo Center as well as on February 2, 2019, at Oneida CNY Sportsman Show at Kallet Civic Center.

The Wildfowlers welcome Bill Killam, Tony Castrello, Steve Salamone, Jared Vidler, Joseph Gilam, Craig Rosen, John Olmstead, and Cody Atkinson as new members who signed up at the Show.
 
Thanks to the following members who built 50 wood duck boxes at Micky Novak's workshop on Saturday, January 20, 2018:  Micky Novak, Jack Waldron, Dick Contos, Dave Porter, Mark Berger, Mike Zarnecki, Patrick Hart, Luke Capria and his son, Graham.  Thanks also to Chad Metott and Todd Miller for supplying the white pine lumber.
 

The Wildfowlers Sporting Clays Shoot & Summer Party  took place on Sunday, 8/27/17.  The shoot was held at Baldwinsville Rod & Gun Club, followed by the party at Jack Waldron's home.

The CNY Wildfowlers' 55th Annual Banquet took place on April 26, 2017.  The Pheasant Dinner was held at Traditions at the Links, 5900 North Burdick Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057; cocktails at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 7:00 p.m.  

The Wildfowlers had a booth at the CNY Sportsman Show, Kallet Civic Center, 159 Main Street, Oneida, NY (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) on February 4, 2017.

The Wildfowlers had a booth at the CNY Sportsman’s Expo, held Jan. 27 – 29, 2017, at the NYS Fairgrounds, Tractor Supply Co. Exhibit Center/Dairy Cattle Building, in Syracuse, New York.  (Show hours: Fri. noon to 7:00 p.m., Sat. 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sun. 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)  Thanks to the following Wildfowler members who put in long hours at the Wildfowler booth during that weekend:  George Lane, Bob Gang, Doug Wicks, Doug Carr, Matt Carr, Micky Novak, Jack Waldron, Patrick Hart, Connor Shay, Jon Paninski, John Fraser, Conall Fraser, and Bella (Micky's black lab). 

 

  

 

January 21, 2017 - We gathered to build wood duck boxes at Micky Novak's workshop.

The annual CNY Wildfowlers sporting clays shoot and summer party was held on Sunday, August 28, 2016.  The shoot was at the Baldwinsville Rod & Gun Club from 9:00 a.m. to noon.  The party followed at Jack Waldron's home on Lamson Road in Phoenix, NY.

BANQUET The Wildfowlers Association of Central New York held their 54th Annual Banquet Pheasant Dinner on Wednesday, April 27, 2016at Traditions at the Links (5900 North Burdick Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057). 

 

The winner of the Winchester shotgun, Fran Lightenfield, is pictured with Patrick Hayes, who picked the winning ticket.  Patrick's father, Bill, is congratulating Dave Montray (on right), who won the 50-50 raffle.  Dave also gave half of his $680 winnings back to the Wildfowlers.  Thanks, Dave!

  

Also, thanks to Tom Lenweaver (programs), Terry Ramsey (invocation and auctioneer), Tom Schneider and Bill Hayes (MC), Patrick Hayes (picking the winning tickets), John, Ben, and Ethan (prizes and auction items), and Rick Capozza (for all he does for the Wildfowlers).

The Wildfowlers had their annual wood duck box building day at Micky Novak's woodshop on Saturday, 1/16/16.

In all, the Wildfowlers built 100 duck boxes and blue bird houses and also 50 bat houses.

WHEN THE BROADBILL WAS KING ON THE GREAT SOUTH BAY" video to be debuted at upcoming show.  Longtime members of the South Shore Waterfowlers Association and Long Island Decoy Collectors Association, Craig Kessler and Steve Sanford have spent the last year creating an historic documentary video about the great era of broadbill gunning on the open expanses of Great South Bay. The full video will be debuted at the upcoming show of the Long Island Decoy Collectors Association on March 7 at the Electricians Hall located on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge. Show hours are from 9-4.  A terrific exhibit featuring several of the famous big open water rigs that frequented Great South Bay from roughly 1930 -1970 will be on display.  Everyone is encouraged to get a sneak preview of the video by logging on to https://vimeo.com/116558936.

On Saturday, September 27, 2014the CNY Wildfowlers held their annual youth pheasant hunt in Oswego County.  The young hunters who participated and had a successful hunt were Marco Palumbo, Robert Fredricks, Luke Francisco, and Ethan Fraser.
 
Wildfowlers Sporting Clays Shoot & Summer Party  took place on Sunday, 8/17/14.  The shoot was at Baldwinsville Rod & Gun Club, followed by the party at Jack Waldron's home.

The Wildfowlers had a booth at the New York Sportsman's Expo at the NYS Fairgrounds on January 24 through January 26, 2014The Wildfowlers grossed over $2500 for the three-day event by selling memberships, duck boxes, bluebird houses, duck and goose calls, and raffle tickets on the Winchester shotgun. We signed up eight new members plus had many renewals.  Thanks to Doug and Matt Carr, Bill and Joe Hayes, Dick Contos, Dave Porter, Micky Novak, Jack Waldron, Doug Wicks, Jon Paninski, George Lane, John Fraser and his sons, Ben and Conall, for their help either in setting up on Thursday and/or for working at the booth Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday.
 
On Saturday, January 18, 2014, Jack Waldron, Doug and Matt Carr, Dick Contos, Dave Porter, Dean and Eric Betts, Bill Hayes, Micky Novak, Dale Cuculich, Joe Fredricks and Ron Falkowski built 40 wood duck boxes and 50 bluebird boxes for the upcoming sport shows.  A special thanks to MIcky Novak for the use of his wood shop and to Joe Fredricks for the delicious lunch he prepared.  Thanks to all who helped!

August 18, 2013 - Annual sporting clays shoot and summer partyThe CNY Wildfowlers annual sporting clays shoot and summer party was held on Sunday, August 18; shooting began at 9:00 a.m. at the Baldwinsville Rod & Gun Club. The party followed at Jack Waldron's home in Phoenix at 12:30 p.m.

 

The 51st Annual Banquet  was held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Empire Room at the New York State Fairgrounds; there were over 300 people in attendance.

On Saturday, 2/23/13the Wildfowlers again participated in the Black Duck banding project on Cayuga Lake.

The Wildfowlers participated in the New York Sportsman's Expo on January 25 through January 272013at the New York State Fairgounds Exhibit Center as well as the CNY Sportsman Show on February 2, 2013, at Oneida Kallet Civic Center in Oneida.
 
Wildfowlers built 51 wood duck boxes and 54 bluebird houses on Saturday, December 22, 2012for sale at the upcoming sport shows in January and February 2013.  A special thanks to Micky Novak for the use of his wood shop.  Also, thanks to the following Wildfowlers:  Jack Waldron, Doug and Matt Carr, Jon Paninski, Bruce Mellon, Joe Oneill, George Lane, Ron Jardin, and Dave Tidaback.

On Sunday, September 9, 2012, the Wildfowlers Association had their annual end-of-summer party and sporting clays shoot.  We had over 20 shooters, including five youth shooters, at Baldwinsville Rod & Gun Club.  They also enjoyed a great BBQ at Jack Waldron's house afterwards. 

 

Wildfowler's Bobby Walters has been welcomed into the Eagle Court of Honor. On April 29, 2012Bobby became an Eagle Scout, Troop 80 Longhouse Council Boy Scouts of America.  Great job, Bobby.  We are very proud of all that you have done!
